"I'll never stop stop chasing, and dreaming and wishing on shooting stars"
Today I realized I truly am a grown-up. In a month and a half, I will be 25 years old. And like many people I know, have no idea what I am doing with my life. Or what I want to do. Why is it that we rush and rush to decide in school what we are going to do for the rest of our lives? I have a degree in chemistry, and to be honest I can't remember what made me decide that was going to be my future. By the time I graduated, chemistry wasn't any fun, I just figured it was easier to finish than to start all over. Plus, I had the added stress of my parents wanting me to have a major that was worthwhile degree. Am I currently using that degree? Are any of my classmates using their chemistry degree, let alone able to get a good job in chemistry? No. Isn't it ironic?
For so long I have been doing what others want. I am a people pleaser. I have always placed unobtainable expectations upon myself, on top of trying to achieve their expectations of me. It sucks, its tiring and it causes enormous stress and anxiety. All too often I am a giant ball of nerves, I worry about everything. And when I say everything, I mean everything. This blog, among other things is a way I deal with it all and a way to de-stress. I have been thinking a lot about my life lately and have discovered some goals for myself that I would like to achieve. I don't consider them resolutions, but things I would like to accomplish in 2011.
A few things I would like to accomplish in 2011....
1. Be happy, healthy, and carefree- I would like to conquer my anxiety, learn to relax and get back in shape. I think doing these things will make me a happier girl.
2. Start saving, set a monthly budget, and stick to it.
3. Take a vacation. A real vacation.
4. Find a job that pays me what I am worth.
5. Decide what career I really want to have.
6. Enjoy my beautiful little family that I have been blessed with. I am thankful to have the most wonderful boyfriend in the world- he is the best part of my life. Adding Annie to my life only made it better! I can't wait to see what the future brings for us!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!
Hello Hello!
This Wednesday I'm loving.....
NO SNOW!!!! They have been warning of snow/wintery mix the past few days and the weather man has been WRONG!!! Yay! It's been cold, but no snow :)
(well actually I have the chocolate version, I just couldn't find that picture) It tastes super yummy for soymilk and its cheaper than Silk!
I will have a good post tomorrow, its been a crazy busy week! What are you all loving this wednesday??

Oh, is it really Sunday?
Sunday. My least favorite day of the week. Why? I'll tell you why. First, it means laundry. A word both Ben and I are beginning to despise. Our apartment as great as it is did not come with W/D. Which sucks. So sometime in the near future we will be purchasing a washer and dryer. I am not excited about spending that money. However, it will be a worthwhile investment. Sunday also typically involves deep cleaning the apartment, which is not fun either. But it will make the week much better with a clean house.
So far its been a relatively quiet weekend in our house. Friday night I went to bed at 9:15. Yes, that is correct. I am officially a grown up. I have frequently been going to bed before 10. And I love every minute of it! Saturday night was a little bit more fun. We met up with some of Ben's fraternity brothers for dinner and a Thrashers game! They came down with some PNM's (potential new members) as part of their rush week. It was a fun night. We met them at the Varsity for dinner, which as usual, was crazy. Its an Atlanta staple that with the exception of the Frosted Orange is a little over-rated. The Thrashers game was quite the adventure. I have never been that high up for anything! But regardless we still had a great view for the game. I am definitely interested in going again!
Today I have been very unmotivated to do anything. My mental list of things to do is not getting any shorter, with the exception of doing laundry. So instead I have been perusing my favorite fashion sites and getting inspiration (one of the things to do today is to organize my closet and rediscover things I already own!) I have definitely discovered a style crush on Rachel Bilson, as an actress I don't know how I feel about her. But as a stylist she rocks! I love her column in InStyle and I love a lot of her fashion choices. Her look seems so effortless yet put together- most of them I could totally see myself wearing.
Aren't her looks great? Another fabulous look I found was of Katie Holmes. Simple, yet classy.
Anyways, I hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday! I am off to work on my closet and wardrobe while Ben watches football!

Terrific Thursdays!
So I am asking for everyone's prayers for a possible job improvement that may open up for me. More details to come.. I just don't want to count my eggs before they hatch :)
Ironically, I have discovered a source of distraction when it comes to my daily blogging issues.... and its none other than Miss Annie Dog! Lately, whenever I bring out my laptop she immediately jumps in my lap preventing me from using it or else I run the risk of danger to it. So its a challenge I am working to find a solution to! (Currently Annie is sulking on the floor next to me as I type from the breakfast bar.)
On to terrific Thursday! Today we acquired FOUR dining room chairs!! Ben bartered with one of his coworkers and he traded his old TI-83 for some chairs! How exciting is that?? We have continuously been blessed with opportunities to acquire furniture for our apartment with little or no expense to us. I am very thankful for that! I will post pictures later this week, they need a little tlc but I know they will be amazing! Finally I have a use for all that HGTV knowledge I have gained :)
I thought I would end this post by sharing a video of one of my new favorite songs, which also happens to be from Country Strong! Its just a great song and I hope you enjoy!

Every day is a new day!
Hello readers!
I hope you are all having a fabulous week, obviously I am not keeping up with my "one post a day" just yet...I am finding out that life, well happens. However, I am dedicated to doing my best to post on a regular basis. Blogging is a learning experience and I am starting to master it.
FYI, this post is a little bit of a hodgepodge of topics, but hopefully fun :)
First, I saw Country Strong with my sister on Sunday evening. I have been waiting for this movie to come out fooooorrever!! Since the first preview way back in November! I am happy to report, it didn't let me down! So worth it! And I'm going again to see it with Ben later this week! YAY! p.s. the soundtrack=AMAZING. I bought both parts, the originally released one, and the 2nd edition which has songs from the moving. Garrett Hedlund is awesome!
